Agriculture in the Classroom

In support of agricultural literacy

The QFA supports agricultural literacy and has involved itself many times in the past with Canadian Agricultural Literacy Month —an initiative designed to simultaneously teach children about the importance of food production, encourage respect for those who produce it, and to promote agriculture as a viable career option. Through a variety of interactive learning tools, projects, speakers, and workshops, the QFA and partners have been leaders in educating students to make informed healthy food choices, innovating to create sustainable and equitable food access, and recognizing the importance of food sovereignty for Canada.
