Quebec Farmers' Association Annual General Meeting

9:00 am Doors open / 10 :00am Welcome, Introductions and National Anthem John McCart, President, Quebec Farmers’ Association / 10:10 am Kathleen Weil, Minister responsible for Relations with English-Speaking Quebecers Kathleen has represented the riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce in the National Assembly of Quebec since 2008. She was appointed to the Executive Council on December 18, 2008, as Minister of Justice and Attorney General. In 2017, following a 2010 appointment as Minister of Immigration and Cultural Communities and a 2014 appointment as Minister of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusiveness, Kathleen was appointed as Minister responsible for Relations with English-Speaking Quebecers / 10:20 am Ivan Hale President, Community Economic Development and Employability Corporation Ivan is a well-known figure in the ag-community having been a beef producer himself for over 30 years and former QFA Executive Director for over 10 years. Ivan will introduce one of QFA’s latest projects that has focus on building capacity for local food production within the fourteen fly-in Inuit communities of northern Quebec. / 10:30 am QFA QUESTION TIME Moderated by John Buck John is Executive Director of Huntingdon-based CEDEC, which has nine offices located across the province. CEDEC is a leader in economic and entrepreneurial development and community revitalization in English-speaking communities across Quebec.
